September 16 :: Shin Hollow Radio :: WVBR-FM 93.5 :: 6 p.m

Tandemonium Yoga Collective

Karen Purcell and Alison Simione of Tandemonium Yoga Dance came by to explain the relationship between yoga and dance. They devise their choreography with multi-instrumentalist Joe Smellow. More people are familiar with yoga positions than they are with the figures of modern dance. When audiences see familiar movements in the performance, they are more engaged. Tandemonium will be giving a performance at the Earth Dance celebration on 4-H Acres on Lower Creek Road on Saturday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Photographer Glen Sanders shoots images of the local landscape. He is inspired by the work of Minor White and is almost entirely self-taught. His work is presently hanging in Benjamin Peters on the Commons and Apothecara.

Harvey Baker of the Vietnam Veterans of America invited everyone to the Watch Fire on Friday, September 21 at Myers Park in Lansing at 7 p.m. The fire is a symbolic beacon guiding home the missing in action. There are still several hundred MIAs from the Vietnam War and there are personnel unaccounted for from the Cold War, the Middle East conflicts and in Afghanistan.

Starting in October the schedule of Shin Hollow will shift to the second and fourth Sundays of each month, alternating with Sunday Forum. Therefore our next show will be on October 14 at 6 p.m.
