Norm Riley, the former chair of the board of directors at the Ward O’Hara Agricultural Museum near Auburn, gave us an overview of the Cayuga County museum’s attractions.

Principal of Newfield High School Barry Derfel was in the studio to tell us about a fundraiser at the school that will raise money to fight hunger in Newfield.

Ithaca Times film critic Bryan VanCampen filled us in on the latest new movies in town and also looked for recruits for his expanding puppeteering enterprise. He is looking for someone who wants to design clothes for puppets.

The East Shore Festival of Arts in Lansing is in its third year and has grown each year. In 2012 it will include the work of 40 artists in many media and stretch into a second day. The opening reception starts at 6 p.m. at the Lansing Town Hall. There is music and food in the Lansing Community Library and the town hall. On Saturday, May 12 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. there will be an art sale and a barbecue. Artist and festival organizer Robin Shuttenberg visits to tell us more about it.
